📜 Our Story: From a Wandering Wizard to a Permanent Portal

Spellbound began its journey as the Wandering Wizard Trading Company, a roaming vendor tent at Southern California LARP events like Twin Mask. Founded by two partners and inspired by their characters—Wander, a spider half-fae, and Gideon, a scholarly wizard—we saw a need for a traveling marketplace that offered general goods, costuming essentials, and last-minute solutions without breaking immersion.

We gathered spare fabrics, handmade accessories, and repurposed Faire gear to decorate a pop-up tent and crafted our earliest wares by hand. The welcome we received at our first event was overwhelming—in the best way—and it fueled our desire to build something even bigger.

As our community and offerings grew, we knew it was time for a space that could serve adventurers all year round. So we rebranded as Spellbound LARP & Games, a brick-and-mortar destination in North Hollywood. While the storefront is new, our traveling alter ego, the Wandering Wizard Trading Company, still appears at events—same heart, same magic, just a new name for the home we’re building.
