What Is LARP?
LARP stands for Live Action Role-Playing—a unique blend of storytelling, improvisation, and gameplay where you become a character and help bring an unfolding world to life.
Instead of just sitting around a table describing your actions like in a tabletop RPG, LARP puts you in the action. You’ll speak, dress, and act as your character, interacting with other players, solving challenges, and shaping the story in real time.
🏰 What Does That Look Like?
LARP can mean a lot of things:
- Elven archers and ragtag heroes gathering in a candle-lit tavern to share secrets and forge alliances.
- Mystery-solving nobles uncovering hidden agendas at a masquerade ball.
- Neighboring outposts in the wake of a zombie outbreak, negotiating peace—or plotting betrayal.
- Modern-day occultists casting rituals and banishing spirits in the back of a game store.
The settings vary, but the core idea is always the same: collaborative storytelling, where your choices matter. If you've ever gone to an escape room or attended a murder-mystery party, that's LARP, even if it wasn't called that at the time.
⚔️ Do I Need Experience or a Costume?
Not at all! We welcome complete beginners just as warmly as seasoned adventurers. Some games will have costuming options available to borrow or simple character roles to help you ease in. Whether you’re a theatre kid, tabletop gamer, or just curious about something new, there’s a place for you in LARP.

- To explore creativity and storytelling
- To meet fun, like-minded people
- To build confidence or escape the day-to-day
- To become the hero (or villain) of a story
